Hard to believe but the season is already about 20% complete. The Vipers and Wheat Kings continue to play good hockey to sit 1 & 2 in the league and #3 & #4 in the province rankings done by Mark Berry https://twitter.com/mfberry60/status/1584572267249696768
While the Vipers and Wheat Kings battle for #1 in the league the Flyers and Navigators look to make ground and get that final playoff spot.
Its a relatively quite weekend for league action with only six games on the go. The Blades, (4-2) in their last 6 games host the Wheat Kings, both teams have goaltenders in the top 5 of SV%. The other game Friday night has the Vipers hosting the Huskies, last time these two met it was the Vipers who got the upper hand and won 4-2. Both teams are coming off weekends where they won both their games.
Saturday has three games on tap, the Lumber Barons continue their homestand as they host the Kodiaks for a double header, fan support has been great for the Lumber Barons this season. Its great to see large crowds support local junior hockey. The Flyers play their lone game of the weekend when they travel to Fort St. John to take on the Huskies. Home has not been kind to the Huskies, they are winless at home this year. The Wheat Kings continue their weekend with a trip to Peace River to take on the Navigators. The Navs will be drawing the winner of their 50/50 Cash raffle https://www.facebook.com/NavsHockey/posts/pfbid033RoqLgMmhDNqUBBWjXj8EtV3V72FbNjbwZXWkgKyGU34tkmizZTXzwZ5txqu6Y3zl
The lone game on Sunday sees the Kodiaks and Lumber Barons wrap up their double header.
