A little late with our weekend review, but better late than ever. The battle for 2nd in league standings continues, the spread is becoming larger but we all know that can change in one weekend. The JDA Kings who started slow at the beginning the year now own that 2nd spot by 2 over the Vipers.
The Kings will be looking for revenge when they travel to take on the Huskies in a rematch from this past weekend. Pictures say that the game was a feisty and a heated affair, the Huskies tied the game in the last minute and would end up winning in a shootout.
The Huskies continued their winning ways following up their shootout win with a 5-2 win over their BC rival the Kodiaks. The Kodiaks would start hot and have a 2 goal lead early in the game, putting the Huskies in unknown territory and forcing them to come back from behind to win the contest. The Huskies currently own the top win % in all Jr B in Alberta.
In other action this past weekend the Navigators snapped a short 2 game losing streak with a 7-4 win over the Flyers. 21 year old Robert Lemay lead the way with 4 points in the contest.
Since beating the Huskies in shootout, the Flyers have gone on to lose their past 5 games. They will get a chance this weekend to get back in the win column when they travel to Dawson Creek to take on the Kodiaks.
The league is very close to start streaming on Hockey TV, we thank our fans for their patience during this time while we sort out final details!
