Action around the NWJHL continued this past weekend. County of GP won the first OT game of the season when they deafeted the Sexsmith Vipers in a shootout, the shootout would go 7 rounds before Alex Beardmore would get the game winner in the 8th round. Count of GP followed up their shootout win with another win, this time against the North Peace Navigators.
The Huskies continued their season with another two wins, scoring 17 goals combined in their wins against the 2nd place Vipers and 3rd place Vipers.
The Kodiaks and Flyers both went 1-1 over the weekend while the Navigators fell to 3-7 this year after going 0-2 this past weekend.
The NWJHL regular season is 25% done as of Oct 24. Fairview Flyers Eric Dentinger leads the league with 15 pts while Fort St. John Huskies Tyler McArthur leads the goalie category in Wins (6), GAA (1.33), & SV% (.922)
